By air
For those renting a car at one of the airports, or otherwise are going by car to the NCC, please use the questionnaire if you are able to give a ride to someone else coming in or going out by air.
The closest airport is Washington Dulles (IAD) at 12.7 miles from the National Conference Center (NCC). Two other airports serving the Washington area are are Washington National Airport (DCA) and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) at 68.7 miles from the NCC.
Shuttles can be arranged from each of these airports, on prior notice. Please use the questionnaire to help us coordinate airport shuttles in an effort to significantly reduce the cost of the shuttles and make it more convenient for everyone needing a ride from/to an airport. Thirty (30) days prior to the Reunion (June 16th) we will look at the questionnaires and email everyone with the best options they have for getting from BWI and DCA to the National Conference Center.
Costs for shuttle and taxi rides are given below for each airport.
Dulles Airport (IAD) to the National Conference Center (NCC). Shuttles to/from NCC cost $20 per person/one way with pick-up at IAD is on the hour and leaving NCC on the half-hour. However these shuttles only run upon prior request. Click on http://conferencecenter.com/transportation.cfm to make your reservation from IAD to NCC and return. Please note the time constraints for the NCC shuttle and use the questionnaire if the NCC shuttle does not fit with your arrival/departure schedule.
Taxi rides from IAD cost around $45-50 for 1-3 passengers and $55-65 for 4-6 passengers.
National Airport (DCA) to National Conference Center (NCC). Please use the questionnaire for shuttles, available from Super Shuttle. We will be using their existing fleet of vans and will get a reduced rate by sharing a van with others in our WOSA group traveling on the same van. From DCA to NCC the first passenger will pay $48 one way while the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will pay $10 each (a group of 4 will pay $19.50 per person.)
Taxi rides from DCA to NCC cost about $75-85 for 1-3 passengers and $100-110 for 4-6 passengers.
Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) to National Conference Center (NCC). Please use the questionnaire for shuttles, available from Super Shuttle. From BWI to NCC the first passenger will pay $87 and each additional passenger will pay $12 each (a group of 4 will pay $30.75 per person.).
Taxi rides from BWI to NCC cost about $130-140 for 1-3 and $155-165 for 4-6.
